5/8/2008: Is it the end for Hillary?
George McGovern thinks so. Saying it's virtually impossible for the former first lady to win the nomination, the former Democratic Presidential Nominee and Senator says he's backing Barack Obama for the nomination. McGovern adds that he remains close friends with the Clintons.

The City Commission of North Lauderdale has approved a resolution splitting the Sunshine State into North Florida and South Florida. City commissioners complain they don't have confidence in state leaders when it comes to collecting and spending the citizens' tax money. Rumors are flying that with the Dolphins going through transition with new management and coach, Taylor might be tempted to make his own transition from athlete to Hollywood Action Hero. |

5/5/2008: Shopping "Crime Rate" Lifting?
Chances are the recent murders at Boca Town Center have been a topic of discussion around many watercoolers in South Florida. Add to that, news today of a shooting in the Aventura Mall Parking Garage. While police term the crime the result of a "domestic dispute" and an "isolated incident" it still rattles nerves. |

5/2/2008: A Tax Holiday on Gas!!!!!
There's a proposal out there to suspend federal gas taxes for three months during the peak summer driving season in order to give us all a little relief at the pump. Hillary Clinton and John McCain are in favor of the plan that would drop gas prices by about 18 cents a gallon. Barack Obama is against the idea, saying a price drop would just entice Americans to guzzle more gas. |

The First Wave of Economic Stimulus Checks are in the mail. That means you could see as much as $600 dollars in your mailbox if you're single, up to $1200 if you're a married couple. The President is hoping you will spend the money in order to give our ailing economy a shot in the arm. |

4/29/2008: Hillary VS. Barack
If you're backing Hillary, you don't like Barack so much and visa versa. Those are the findings in an AP-Yahoo poll that's tracked the same 2,000 Democrats since November. The majority say as the sometimes bitter primary fight continues, they increasingly dislike the contender they're not supporting. Democrat Party Chairman Howard Dean says someone must drop out of the primary race in June in order to unify the party before the November Election. |

4/28/2008: Dancing with the Draft
This year's NFL Draft is history...and despite all the bartering Jason Taylor stays with the Miami Dolphins for now. The team did shop their six-time Pro Bowl defensive end for draft choices but failed to make a deal. The Fins, did however, draft two defensive ends for Miami so speculation of a Taylor trade continues. |
