Mark was born in Ft. Mitchell, KY. There wasn't much to do there, so Mark quickly adopted the radio as his best friend. After discovering the Dr. Demento show in the late 70's, he knew he wanted to be a DJ. Starting as a mobile DJ doing weddings, parties, etc he found his way into the radio business via a part time opening at Majic 102.7 after becoming a finalist in the station contest, "The Personality."
From there he went on to Metro Networks where he worked as an on-air traffic reporter. His experience at Metro led to an on-camera position as traffic reporter for the CBS morning news. Despite his "face for radio" he stayed at CBS for almost two years before deciding he didn't like putting on a suit at 3am, 5 days a week.
Mark has an original rock band called Hippies and Pilots that has just released it's 7th album. He lives in Plantation with his wife Lacie, daughters Kadi and Beija, and dog Licorice.
