Growing up in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, Libby Kay’s a long way from home in South Florida…but some people just aren’t built for the cold. After graduating from Millersville University in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country, Libby spent the first 4 years of her career working as a traffic reporter on multiple radio and TV stations in the Harrisburg market. Driving through the ice and snow took its toll, so Libby packed her bags, cat, bird and the love of her life, Will to head for warmer days.
You may think Libby never leaves Majic 102.7 since you hear her both on the morning show and again with Ron St. John in the afternoons. Truth be told, she works a split shift so don’t feel too badly for her, she takes advantage of her middays on Hollywood beach! On traffic reporting, Libby feels it’s an extremely important service and doesn’t take her job lightly. She understands the frustration motorists feel being stuck in traffic when they’ve got 2,000 other, more productive things they could be doing. Therefore Libby prides herself in giving listeners accurate information presented logically.
She loves how especially helpful Majic 102.7 listeners are with passing along traffic tips - with so many packed roads to cover; it helps having as many eyes and ears on the roads as you can.
